Controlling Motion

The challenge for this assignment was to capture motion, whether it be panning, peak action, or blurred movement.

Makana Martini, 20, of Oahu, HI performs a traditional Polynesian Hula dance Tuesday night at the Paradise Cove Lu'au located in the Ko Olina Resort. Martini said she was born and raised on Oahu and has been dancing since she was seven years old. "I was raised around dance," Martini said. "It is a big part of the Polynesian culture."
